Content Snare is now Assembly. Does the migration still work?

Yes. Content Snare merged with Copilot to form Assembly. Portico imports from Assembly directly. Your Content Snare form templates, responses, and contacts are all accessible through the Assembly API.

Can I import my form templates automatically?

Yes. Connect your Assembly API key in Settings. Then click "Import from Assembly" on the Clients page. Portico fetches your forms, maps field types (short text, long text, select, multi-select, file upload), and creates matching Portico templates.

What about my existing form responses?

Form responses import as completed onboardings in Portico. Each response becomes a client record with the submitted data preserved. You can review imported responses in the same interface as new submissions.

Do I need to cancel Content Snare before starting?

No. Run both in parallel while you transition. Portico has a free tier (3 onboardings per month) so you can verify the migration before switching fully.

What does Portico add that Content Snare did not have?

E-signatures, payment collection, multi-step forms with progress bars, branded transactional emails, conditional logic, and magic-link client access. Content Snare focused on document collection only. Portico handles the full onboarding flow.

Can I import using CSV instead of the API?

Yes. Export your contacts CSV and form response CSV from Assembly. Upload them separately in Portico. The contact importer maps columns automatically. The form response importer generates a template from the column headers and creates onboardings from each row.

Click "Import from Assembly" on the Clients page. Portico fetches your forms, lets you select which to import, and creates matching templates with correct field types. Existing responses are imported as completed onboardings.
